How to get there
Our wedding venue is Peckforton Castle, located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in the North West of England.
Finding a venue that suits us has required going a little further afield. We thank you all for your effort in travelling to celebrate with us.
Travelling from Within the UK
By Car
The venue is located near Tarporley, Cheshire, with on-site parking available for guests.
By Train
The nearest train stations are:
Crewe Railway Station
Chester Railway Station
For those coming from London, the venue is located roughly equidistant between these stations, and is an approximately 35 minutes drive from each of them.
Train travel times range between 1 hour 40 and 2 hours 30, depending on the speed of the service.
In our experience, Crewe is the earlier stop and therefore slightly quicker if a taxi has been pre-booked, but Chester has more options without booking ahead.
Direct trains are available from London Euston to both stations. We regret that there is no feasible public transport between either station and the venue.
If you are struggling to source a lift from the closest train station, please let us know - if you are willing to share with other guests we may to link you together to share a taxi.
Travelling from Outside the UK
The nearest international airports are:
Manchester Airport, which is an approximately 50 minute drive.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an approximately 1 hour drive)
For our guests travelling internationally the connections are generally better to Manchester Airport.
We would not recommend any inexperienced travellers try to transfer between the different “London” Airports, which are far further apart than their names suggest.
From the airport, guests may:
hire a car,
take a taxi,
or arrange private transfers with fellow guests.
We recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding to relax and enjoy the celebrations.
If you are travelling in from outside Europe but stopping over in the EU, please note that you are likely to need separate visas.
