Our Story
Our story began on 4 March 2023. Dino was out at a friends’ birthday party, and Lemuel had just landed from a last-minute trip to Cape Verde booked to avoid doing two back to back trials.
After making our connection, and a 22-hour first date later, promises were extracted for a renewed meeting. After dating for 8 months (including a 2-month secondment where we were split across different islands whilst Lemuel was working in Guernsey) we moved in together.
Since then we have eaten far too much ice cream, watched too many bad movies (and good theatre shows), and adopted and lost many houseplants. We particularly mourn our (in hindsight) unnecessarily expensive succulents who never adapted to the peculiar indoor climate for our current flat.
Then, on 24 May 2025, at the Ghent University Botanical Garden, Lemuel asked Dino to marry him, and here we are now!
